A City Kid's Survival Guide: Book Launch & Artist Talk

  • Alcove Beltline 1040 8 Street Southwest Calgary, AB, T2R 1K2 Canada (map)

Gavin Sheppard joins us for the Calgary launch of A City Kid’s Survival Guide, his new book exploring resilience, creativity, and community. In conversation with acclaimed Plains Cree rapper and community builder Drezus, the two will reflect on the future of art from opposite ends of the country, Toronto and Calgary, while sharing stories of survival, vision, and cultural transformation. This evening offers an intimate look at how artists navigate and shape the changing landscapes of Canadian art and identity.
